Az Arum Melati tánccsoport a 2007-ben alakult Bidadari Ball tánccsoport utódja, amely most új névvel, táncosokkal és koreográfusokkal és bővített repertoárral rendelkezik.

Fő célunk megtanulni és előadni igazi gyöngyszemeket az indonéz szigetvilág hihetetlenül gazdag tánc repertoárjából. Tágabb értelemben szeretnénk az indonéz kultúrát népszerűsíteni a világon, az egyedi ritmust és mozdulatokat, az indonéz táncok nagyon szuggesztív és finom formanyelvét, esztétikáját hangsúlyozva. Táncosaink indonézek és magyarok, akik Indonéziában és a magyarországi Indonéz Nagykövetségen tanultak művészeteket és kultúrát.

Indonesian Traditional Dance

The Arum Melati Dance Group is the offspring of the Bidadari Ball Dance Group formed nine years ago, but now with a new name, new dancers and choreographies, and a wider repertoire. Our main goal is to learn and then perform several “pearls” of the unbelievably rich dance tradition of the Indonesian archipelago. We aim to make popular the culture of Indonesia in a wider sense of the word, through highlighting the unique rhythms and motions, the special aesthetics and the very suggestive and refined form language of Indonesian dances. The members of our dance group are both Indonesians and Hungarians who had studied arts and culture in Indonesia and Indonesian embassy in Hungary.
